A feel-good romantic comedy set along the sun-soaked Western Australian coast

I am so excited to finally share the cover for my newest romantic comedy, Van Life with Benefits. This story has been sitting in my heart and my laptop for a long time, and seeing it come to life with a bright, uplifting cover feels incredibly special.

If you have been following my Margaret River Universe of books, you will know I love writing stories filled with sunshine, warmth, and a generous amount of chaos. This book captures that spirit completely, with a campervan, a carefully planned itinerary, and one very inconveniently attractive man thrown into the mix.

What is it about?

Lara Hart is dangerously close to burnout. Craving quiet, space, and some control over her own life, she books herself a three-week road trip along the beautiful Western Australian coastline. In her mind, the trip will be a perfectly balanced holiday filled with sunrise coffees, peaceful beaches, and long stretches of uninterrupted calm.

Life has other plans.

When Lara arrives to collect her campervan, she discovers it has been double-booked. The man standing there with the keys is Jesse Reid. He is barefoot, infuriatingly relaxed, unbothered by the chaos, and now unexpectedly sharing this very small space with her.

From that moment, Lara’s perfectly structured holiday begins to unravel. Plumbing problems appear out of nowhere. Detours become a regular occurrence. Arguments about snacks escalate far too quickly. And beneath it all, a slow, undeniable connection grows between them, whether they want it to or not.

Jesse is keeping a secret that could upend everything Lara believes about him and about this trip, and it might even force her to question what she truly wants from her life.

Why I loved writing this book

There is something unforgettable about the Western Australian coastline. The turquoise water. The dramatic red cliffs. The sense of possibility that comes from waking up beside the ocean.

I wanted to bring that feeling to life through Lara and Jesse, while also showing the wonderfully chaotic reality of two people thrown together before they are ready.

Writing their journey felt like taking a road trip of my own. It surprised me, made me laugh, and gave me moments of real tenderness that I cannot wait for readers to experience.

Who will enjoy this story?

Readers who love Australian coastal settings, opposites-attract chemistry, the close-quarters tension of a forced proximity story, and the humour of travel mishaps will find plenty to enjoy here. It is a warm, spirited road-trip romance with heart, humour, and two characters who discover that sometimes the best journeys are the ones you never planned for.
